Duplication is the process of burning (rather than pressing) music, video or data onto a blank disc.

An advantage of duplication over replication (pressing) is the fast turnaround time – which can be as little as two working days, or for some jobs, the same day.

However, for runs of more than 500 CDs or DVDs, replication may be the right option for you. Replicated discs are more cost-effective and are also more durable than duplicated discs. To find out more about replication, click here.

Duplicated discs are printed using either an inkjet or a thermal process. The disc surfaces are inkjet printed if they are full colour or can be thermal printed on a silver surface if they are black and white.

We now offer a high quality UV coating on all of our inkjet printed discs. The UV coating gives the discs a professional glossy finish. It helps to protect against smudging and scratching.

All of the printing for short-run duplication jobs is done here at Implant, supervised by our inhouse production team. Whether you need DVD slicks, CD booklets, digicases, cardboard sleeves, there are numerous options available to you.

All of our short-run paper parts (eg. booklets, DVD slicks) are printed using a high quality colour laser process. Booklets are printed on 140gsm silk coated stock (semi-gloss)

All of our short-run card parts (eg. digicases, card sleeves) are printed using a high quality colour laser process. They are printed on 270gsm Star Hi-Bolt stock. With our card parts, you also have the option of printing on the reverse of the board, giving the final product a matte finish.
