Not sure about the difference between duplication and replication? Click here.
Duplication and replication are two different disc copying processes, each with their own benefits and their own drawbacks - at Implant we offer both services, and its up to you to choose the kind of copying that is right for you.
Duplication is the act of ‘burning’ music, video or data onto a blank disc, and is generally used for shorter runs. The process is similar to how you might burn a disc using your home computer. At Implant, we use only premium A-grade blank CD-Rs and DVD-Rs, which have a printable coating. This printable coating, combined with our UV coating service, ensures a retail-ready professional looking end product. Duplication is much quicker than replication.
Replication is the act of ‘pressing’ music, video or data from a glass master. Replication is only an option when getting 500 or more copies made, and takes longer than duplication - the turnaround time is typically around 10 working days. Replicated discs are more durable than duplicated discs, and far more cost-effective.
